FIJI AND FORMER EMEMIES.
RESTRICTION ON IMMIGRATION.
An ordinance has been enacted by the Legislative Council of Fiji prohibiting the landing in the colony without a permit isrued by the Colonial Secretary of " any former alien enemy," the term meaning any person who is or at any time has been a citizen or subject of a State with which His Majesty was at any time during 1918 at war. The penalty for a breach of this ordinance is a fine of £50 and the offender may be deported. '
