LORD JELLICOE'S VISIT.
AUCKLAND PROGRAMME.
SUBMISSION FOR APPROVAL.
The Citizens' Reception Committee has received word that Admiral Lord Jellicoe will ba pleased to attend a civic "At Home" in Auckland at the Town Hall on the evening of Tuesday, September 23, the day of the arrival here of H.M.S. New Zealand. The admiral has also signified that he will be glad to review the boy scoots of the district on the wharf on the morning of the 25ra.
The programme for the admiral's visit has now been practically completed, and the following draft has been submitted to Lord Jellicoe for his final approval — Tuesday, September 23.—Morning: Harbour reception and inspection of scouts on wharf, civic reception and Veterans' address at the Town Hall. Afternoon.- Victoria League "At Home. Evening - Civic "At Home."
Wednesday.—Morning : Inspection of (Calliope Dock. Afternoon : Unveiling of the Lieutenant - Commande- Sanders, V.Cmemorial at Takapuna. 1 Evening: Naval and military ball. Thursday.Morning: Free. Afternoon: Garden party, Missions to Seamen, at Bishopscourt. Evening: Free. Friday.—Departure of admiral and officers for Roto ma. Thursday, October 2.—Morning : Visit to Onehunga. Evening: Northern Club ball.
The Auckland Club is awaiting a c inner fix ure, and the Navy League a luncheon fixture.
Messrs. B. and J. Fuller have undertaken to give two matinees for the men of the New Zealand, at the Opera House. In addition, they promised to provide the artists for a Navy League enter* tamment on the wharf.
