EGYPTIAN UNREST.
OUTRAGE IN CAIRO. BOMB THROWN AT PREMIER. MINISTER ESCAPES UNHURT. By Telegraph— Association— (Received 12.30 a.m.) A. and N.Z. CAIRO. Sept. 3. A bomb was thrown at the Premier, Mohammed Said Pasha, today. The Premier escaped without injury.
Mohammed Said Pasha became Premier of Egypt in May, following the resignation of Hussein Rushdi Pasha. He was previously Premier when Lord Kitchener was High Commissioner in Egypt. The Nationalists and extremists have openly expressed hostility to Said Pasha's Ministry, as their sole object is best served by the maintenance of abnormal conditions in Egypt.
