WELLINGTON". Thursday. The weekly thro lgh express which left Wellington at 12.45 p.m. to-day for Auckland was the largest train that has left Thorndon station since the restrictions *Were brought into force. That persons are making every use of the one through train each week was evidenced bv the fact that every available seat 248 first-class and 213 second-class—was reserved, while 21 of these seats, which had been reserved by passengers joining the train at stations en route, were doubly sold, passengers from Wellington reserving the. seats between Thorndon and the stations at which the other passengers would embark to claim their seats. It was the largest reserved train that has ever left Wellington, having 15 coaches. The through train from Auckland yesterday comprised 12 carriages.
