STOCKS AND SHARES.
BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY.
The sharemarket had a good tone again yesterday. Bank of New Zealand buyers offered £14 16s, a shilling in advance of the preceding day's figures, sellers holding for £15. Fully-paid issue was quoted at a £18 15s buyers, £19 sellers. In insur- r ances South British sellers rose to £9, n buyers offering £8 15s 6d. New Zealands I remained at the previous day's figures, j buyers 32s 6d, sellers 33s 9d. In finaiace, Loan and Mercantile sellers eased to £120, but no buyers quoted. In coals Taupiri c buyers offered 16s 3d, sellers asking 18s. » Auckland Gas sellers quoted 26s 3d, no l buyers offering. In shipping Huddart- B Parkers sold at 49s 3d, 49s 6d, and 48s 9d, with a reported sale at 49s 6d. P. and 0. (deferred stock) was quoted by sellers at £555. and buyers rose to £543. There was little variation in miscellaneous lines, \ Auckland Tramway buyers rising to 20s B 9d. A eale of Milne and Choyce at 26s 8d j was reported.
