FREEMASONS AND THE WAR.
MEMORIAL TEMPLE. APPEAL FOR SUBSCRIPTIONS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 1 a.m.) LONDON. Sept. 2. The Grand Lodge of Freemasons to-day decided, on the motion of the Duke of Connaughfc, to appeal for funds from the brotherhood throughout the world to erect a Masonic temple as a central home of British ' freemasonry and as a perpetual memorial to brethren who have fallen in the war.
