SPORTS FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS. THE GALA ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting of the Primary Schools' Gala Association was held in the Teachers' Institute recently, Mr. R. Webster presiding over a good attendance of delegates. The annua! report snd balance-sheet I showed that the association had had a most successful year, there being a credit balance ! of £213 on the three galas held to date. I The following officers were elected :—PresiI dent, Mr. A. Wetherall; vice-president, Mr. .I H. Wooller; executive. Brother Calixtus. Messrs. A. Coltman. K. Webster. S. Kronfl»ld. A. Bayliss, and H. "W. Moore; hen. secretary and treasurer. Mr. B. 3?*. Hayson; hon. auditor, Mr. Jas. Vuglar. It .wait decided, owing to the difficulty in obtaining grounds and the lateness of the season, that the annual gala be abandoned this ye?r. It was also agreed that in order to compensate the boys for the seven-a-eide tournament being abandoned, a trip should be arranged to the country for a schools' representative Rugby foctbnll team. This team is now being selected by Bro. Calixtms and Messrs. Coltman and Kay^on.
