ARCHANGEL DISASTER.
EXPLOSION OF MUNITIONS.
DEATH-ROLL OF TWENTY-ONE.

With reference to the explosion on an ammunition barge off Archangel it is officially stated that the crews of the monitors Glowworm and Cockchafer were not aware that the barge was loaded with munition. They endeavoured to extinguish a fire, which had broken out on the barge. Twenty-one were killed and 15 injured.
