SUSPICIOUS FIRE.

OCCUPANT'S HEAVY LOSS.

[BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.]

WELLINGTON, Tuesday,

A nine-roomed dwellinghouee on the main road between Waikanae and Paraparaumu, owned by Mr. W. .11. Field, M.P., was destroyed by fire on Sunday morning. No fire had been lighted in the house since the previous Wednesday, and the outbreak is believed to have been the work of an incendiary. The occupant, Mr. Charles Foale, who was about to remove to another house, lost a quantity of furniture, which was uninsured. The house was insured with the Phoenix office for £400, but was worth considerably more. The police are investigating.
