NEEDS OF TAUMARUNUI. [BY TELEGEAPH.— CCRBESPONDENT.] TAUMARUNCI, Monday. At the Taumarunui Rod and Gun Club's annual meeting, it was urged that the Government should start a hatchery at Piriaka. The report stated that Tamnar>inui would soon be included in the Auckland Acclimatisation Society's district and an endeavour should be made to procure a large share of pheasants for liberation here. It was pointed out that, no rabbit poisoning was done in the district. This was a distinct advantage to the society, an should be stressed when the allotment of birds was under consideration. An effort should also be made to obtain quail for liberation.
