PRESENTATION.
'' Mr. G. E. Spooner, who is retiring from the directorate of Garland, Ltd,, was the guest of the firm at a social in Wright's tearooms* About sixty employees were present. The managing director, Mr. T. T. Garland, on behalf of the directors, presented Mr. Spooner with a tea set, and Mr. Bridges, on behalf of the employees, presented mm with an eight-day clock. The speakers all made reference to the cordial relations existing between the firm and the employees.
