FIGURES FOR AUGUST.
A total of 2492 people, including 2133 soldiers, arrived at the Tort of Auckland during August, compared with 368. including 60 soldiers, in the corresponding month last year, an increase of 2124. The departures last month narnbered 314, as against 246 in August, 1918.. an- increase of 68.
