THE GOLD RETURNS. TOTAL FOR AUGUST, £3(1,412. The sold returns to hand from th«i Auckland district mines for the past month totalled £36,413 Ss 3d, the whole oj which was won from the bullion-producing properties in the Ohinemuri district. Compared with the yield for August, 1918, namely, £50,592 2s 4d, this shows a decrease of £14,179 13s 2d. Details of last month's iceturns are:— OHINEMURI. Waihi Co., 15,153 tons . . .. £25,295 0 0 Wmibi Grand Junction Co., 6620 tons 8,154 19 0 Talisman Co., 225 tons . . . . 2,963 10 3 Total .. .. . v .. £36,412 6 2 WAIHI. DIVIDEND PAYABLE TO-DAY. The Waihi Gold Mining Company's 105 th dividend of Is per share will be paid to-day. This will absorb £24,795 7s. and will bring the total amount paid by the company in dividends, etc., to date to £600.1411 Is Sd. There ari at present 8197 shareholders on the colo.iiid register holding 199,9911 shares, and they will receive £9999 19s of the sum for distribayon to-day.
MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS. Waitangi.—During the past week it further five feet nas been driven on the mam reef in No. 2 level. The reef has changed considerably in appearance in the last fevj;tet, the present lace being- mullocky, with - band of bard flinty Quartz on the footwa-li side.
