Mr. M. H. Innes Jones said it wag a tax on the inland districts and did not j affect tho ports. The effect of the tariff 1 waa to penalise one section of the ■ com- j munity. He moved that the chamber sup- . port the resolution and inform the Minister -for Railways of its view. j This was carried. ]
