FRUIT IMPORTS.
AUCKLAND'S HEAVY TRADE. The following figures, compiled by Mr. D. C. Fraser, manager of the Tropical Fruit Company, show the imports of fresh fruit into New Zealand for the past tw«lve months .-—Auckland, 450,000 casesWeWon, 94 000. cases/ cOJSSI 35,000 cases; Dunedin, 21,000 cases: Invercargm, 6000 cases. Thus, out of ! 606 000 cases of fruit for New Zealand Auckland handled 450.C0? or more than two-thirds of the total. AuckTand imports in three months more than Wellington does in twelve months, and in one month , Auckland imports more than Christchurch does m twelve months.
