The prospectus of the Sinn Fein internal loan states that the issue will be £250,000 at 5 per cent., payable six months after an Irish Re- , public has received international j recognition and the English have ! evacuated Ireland. Bondholders j may redeem their bonds at 5 per J cent, within 20 years of the recognition of an Irish Republic. • The loan will be used for propagating the cause of Irish independence throughout the world, for establishing a foreign consular service, for promoting Irish trade, for fostering Irish industries and generally for national purposes as a Republican Parliament may direct. UNDER SINN FEIN FLAG. AMERICAN SHIP AT CORK. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 6 p.m.) LONDON. Aug. 26. The American steamer Ashburne | left Cork for Rotterdam flying the ; Sinn Fein flag at the masthead and the American flag at the stern. A combined police and military raid on the College of Glandore, West Cork, which was recently filled with students from all parts of Ireland, ostensibly learning the Irish language, disclosed that the college was rea'Jy a military camp and arsenal, and the training centre of the Sinn Fein volunteers. The raiders surprised the camp in the early morning, and arrested i 60 " students."
