BAYONETS IN LIVERPOOL
TROOPS CHARGE A MOB. SEVERAL PEOPLE INJURED. A. and N.Z. LONDON, Aug. 8. At midnight a bayonet charge was made by the military on the Liverpool mob, who jeered the sentry at St. George's Hall, and made an effort to wrench his rifle away. The sentry fired in the air, and a noncommissioned officer thereupon ordered the troops to charge, whereupon the crowd dispersed. Several persons were injured.
