EXPERIMENT IN CERISTCHURCB:. A novel , method of,- ; street numbering has been provisionally ; adopted, in Christcherch. The committee- suggested thafi every fifth house in J Colombo street * North, from Bealey, Avenue to Edge-ware Road, and in Colombo Street South, from Brougham Street to ; the. southern boundary, should ho «>'numbered. The numbers would be let irato the: face of the kerb, and if this were found to be' a success the committee i would be prepared to make a further recommendation in the matter. The recommendation was adopted.
