DISCONTENT AT MINE.
OHINEMURt ENGINEERS. "STOP WORK" MEETING HELD. PROCEEDINGS .. IN CAMERA. [BT TELEGRAPH. —OWS CORRESPONDENT.] WAIHI. Monday. A stop-work meeting of the Ohmemuri branch of the Amalgamated Society of Engineers was held this afternoon to consider matters concerning the union. The meeting, at which the organising secretary, Mr. Elston, was present, was held in camera and no information was given after its close. It is reported, however, that the union has a grievance against one of the mining companies and alleges that one of its members is not receiving the weekly wage to which he is entitled.
