STATE GOVERNORSHIPS.
j »■ ! SUGGESTED REFORMS. .j I A. and. X.Z. LONDON, July 11. i| The Daily Chronicle approver of s the representations of Mr. W. MePherson, Victorian Treasurer, roi garding the abolition of the office of - Governor, and the suggestion that . the Lieutenant-Governor should act. - It states that the proposal is reason- - able and sensible. Since the Fedc- - ration the Governor-General has ' become the representative of t royalty, and there is no reason why , a variety of petty courts should - exist in the State capitals. State Governors are an anachronism.
