SUSPECTED CASE IN CITY. ELDERLY WOMAN'S DEATH. A suspected case of ptomaine poisoning resulted fatally yesterday. An elderly woman, Miss H. Cruchy, a dressmaker by occupation, residing in Ponsonby Road, near the Three Lamps, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital in the morning suffering, it is stated, from ptomaine poisoning, due to eating tinned food. She died a few hours later. An inqisest will be held to-morrow.
