BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY. The tone of the sharsmarket was good again yesterday. In banks, Commercials (pref.) were wanted at £6 Bs. For Nationals £6 lis was offered, sellers £6 14s. New Zealands had demand at £14, and hilly paids at £18 7s 6d. la insurances business was reported in New Zealanda at £14 13a 6d, sellers closing at £14 16s 6d, with buyers at £14 lis. A sale in South British were reported at £8 '2a, with late sellers at £8 4s. and buyers at £8. la financial ljies Loan and Slercantiles sold at £115, at which price morS could have been placed. la gas, Aucklands sold at 275. In shipping buyers of P. and O. (deferred stock) advanced to £492. sellers £500. In miscellaneous lines Auckland Tramways changed hands at 22s 6d. with further buyers at the same figure, sellers 22s 9d. A sale was reported in Tonson Gariicks at 10s 6d. In mining lines, Waihis had sellers at 44s 9d. buyers 44s 6d. Grand Junctions eased to 13s sellers, 10a buyers. Talismans were looked for at 7s 7d, sellers Bs.
