ROADS AND RAILWAYS.
[BT TELEGRAPH.—I'RESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. The Mayor of Christchurch, Dr. Thicker, M.P., is convening a conference of Mayors to bo held in Christchurch at some generally convenient date before Parliament meets. The subjects suggested for discussion are train services, ferry services, the housing problem, the coal shortage, concrete roads and main arterial highways, hydro-electric developIment, and the completion of the main trunk lines. ,
