(Red. 5.40 cm.) LONDON. May 25 (delayed) A Manchester deputation waited on the Food Ministry in connection with the shortage of beer due to (he Government continuing to restrict the output. It. was pointed out that. the situation was causing trouble in Manchester and Salford. where some hotels had been broken into during closed hours, the customers helping thfmselvcs and leaving payment ' behind, and insisting mi searching tin cellar?, although assured that the stock was exhausted. The Minister, Mr. G. H. Roberts, announced in the House of Commons that the Government nad derided to increase the bairelasre of beer from 20.000.000 to 26,000,000. The present prices would continue.
