DELAY OF THE STRIKE. HOPE OF CO-OPERATION. A. anil N.Z. LONDON. Juno 2. Th.e postponement of the police strike is explained by the fact thfet the police union leaders hope to receive the support of the triple alliance conference of miners, waterside workers, and transport workers at Southport on June 24. They declare that if a strike prove unavoidable, it will be of the lightning order, without notice.
