The Anglican General Synod set up a committee to consider the conditions of the Melanesian mission.
A Select Committee was appointed to consider the advisability of establishing a central institution for the Iraininjr of teachers for church sduols. A Select Committee was appointed to consider tho question of establishing a provincial church in Napier. A committee was set up to consider questions relating to the primacy. .* committee was set up to consider the creation <:i new dioceses. A petition to this effect irom Taranaki was read.
The synod appointed a commission to consider what is being done by tho convocation in England reg.jding the revision of tie prayer-book, arid to report at the next se>;'on of the General Synod. The work of the Military Affairs Committee in connftioii with the war was highlv eulogised, and the committee was reap", pointed to deal with questions connected with ret i ined soldiers and territorial (•Amps. The bill for extending the franchise to women passed its second reading.
