"STUPID OBSTINACY."
[BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Friday. At the Magistrate's Court, William Kenny, a wharf labourer, was fined £35 and £5 respectively on charges of refusing to reply to the questions of the Customs officers, and using abusive language. The magistrate considered it a case of stupid obstinacy, and any application to the Minister for Justice for a reduction of the penalty would have his full connirrnnPA.
