LONDON, March 31 Noting that General Birdwood had not shared in the allocation of new commands, the Evening Mews revives the idea that bis succession to Sir Ronald Munro Ferguson as Governor-General of Australia is intended. The paper adds that his beautiful and popular wife would make an ideal hostess in Melbourne.
