<f — RESULT OF DEBATING CONTEST. fJ!,- TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] DPNEDJK, Monday. The inter-university debiting contest was held in the Allen Hail. Dunedin, tonight. The speakers were: Auckland, Messrs G. T. Bellhouse and C. J. Oarland; Otago Messrs. A. B. Kilroy and W J. P. Howell j Canterbury, Messrs. A Patterson and J. C. Dickinson; Victoria, Messrs. E. Evans and W. E. Leicester. Subject: "That the League of Nations is necessary to Promote the Moral and Economic Welfare of Mankind " After two hours' keen and interesting disputation the judges declared the following result: Victoria, first; Auckland, sewnd; Canterbury and Otago (equal), 'third.
