ANNIHILATED BY REBELS. SPANISH MILITARY FORCE. A. and N.Z. TANGIER. April 18. There was sharp fighting at Tetuan, on the Moroccan coast, near the Strait of Gibraltar, between Spaniards and Raisuli's rebel bands. One Spanish party was surrounded and exterminated, 14 officers and 300 native Spanish soldiers being killed or wounded. The Spanish fell back on Tetuan.
