PROHIBITED LITERATURE.
[by telegraph.—press association ASHBURTOX, Saturday The annual session of the Provincial Grand Chapter of New Zealand opened in the Orange Eall on Thursday, and was continued yesterday and to-day, delegates attending from all parts of the Dominion. Reports showed that in spite of the dislocation caused by the war and the heavy drain on the manhood of the Dominion, the membership and finances had been well maintained. With reference to literature which had been banned in Auckland, the delegates stated that between £50 and £100 worth was withheld by the Customs Department. It was unanimously resolved that ill® Grand Provincial Chapter record a pretest against the action of the Governmeat.
