FRENCH TRAIN COLLISION.
TWENTY SOLDIERS KILLED. Australian and NZ. Cable Association (R©c<3. 5.5 P.m.) WASHINGTON, April 17. Fourteen American and six French soldiers were killed in a train collision at Le Mans, in France.

APPEAL TO DOMINIONS. (Received 5.5 p.m.) Xi me g. LONDON, April 17. Colonel Laffan. writing on behalf of the British Olympic Council, appeals to sportsmen and athletes in the Dominions to co-operate to the utmost in making the Olympic Games at Antwerp next year a success, as a compliment to heroic Belgium. He points out the shortness of the time in which to prepare.
