The uprisings in Korea continue. There is a steady stream of reports from missionary sources accusing the Japanese authorities of suppressing Korean demonstrations for selfdetermination.. Undoubtedly the most serious casualties have been among the Koreans, who are without firearms, while thousands have been imprisoned. Tokio advices of a semi-official nature state that disturbances in Korea are spreading throuKhout the whole peninsula. Over 100 risings have occurred in the past few days, rioters, armed with clubs and axes, assaulting the police, burning the post, offices and Government buildings, and cutting telecrraph wires. The cause of the rioters' sudden violence is due to pressure of Bolshevik propagandists, whose headnuarters are at Chientao and Shanghai, whence anti - Japanese Koreans have been despatched to instigate rebellion.
