LOCAL BODY ELECTION'S.
LABOUR PARTY CANDIDATES. COUNCIL AND HOSPITAL BOARD. Nineteen candidates for election to tho Auckland Ci'y Council, arid fur for thJ Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, have been selected by 'the New Zealand Labour Party. The candidates are: — City Council: Messrs. T. Bloodworth, H. L. Buckler, 0. Mcßriue, B. Martin, W. S. Moxsom, R. F. Way, M. J. Savage, J. H. Mortensen, C. A. Watts, J. Purtell, G Davis. G. T. Jones, J. Aggers, J. Cowsill, P. Cooper, A. Jackson, E. Phelan, J. Derrick, and J. D. Robertson. Hospital and Charitablo Aid Board : Messrs. G. Davis, It. F. Way, J. Purtell, and M. J. Savage. The selection of candidates for tho Mount Eden and the Mount Albert Borough Councils has not yet beon made. Candidates at the Parliamentary elections have not yet beeu selected. 11l this respect it is said that the activity of tho party will not be confined to the city. Tho branch formed recently at Pukekohe has taken up the work of organising the whole electorate, and of arranging further meetings in support of the party's aims.
