NORTHERN RACING CLUB. RACE FROM TE KTJITI. 'Us Northern Racing Pigeon Club flaw a race on Saturday from Te Kniti. an air-line distance of approximately 100 miles to the winning member's loft. The birds were liberated by the stationmaster, Mr. Donald, at eleven o'clock. There was a northerly wind. The first bird to bo timed in was Messrs, Watson Bros.' Homeward Bound. •which reached its loft at 3.50 p.m., having flown the distance in 3h 50m 49, fall average velocity of 774 yds a rainnte. The race was a close one between tlie first five birds. Eutrien close on Friday. AUCKLAND FLYING CLUB. The Auckland Firing Club held its third race of tho young bird season on Saturday, from Te Awamura, .an airline distance of approximately 82 miles. Weather conditions were adverse to good racing, consequently |ow velocities were recorded, flic birds. wore liberated by the stationmaster at 1.30 p m., and faced a strong northerly wind.
