UNIVERSITY STUDENTS.
WORK OF THE ASSOCIATION. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The Auckland Univeisity College Students' Association held its annual meeting at the college last evening, the president, Mr. F. Green, presiding. The annual report stated that the roll during the last year, had been 104. Reference was made to the death of Mr. I. Phillips, who had been a prominent member of many coilegs institutions. The athletics dub had been revived, and there was.every prospect of a successful year's sport. The university had decided to send representative athletes to the inter-univer-sity tournament, to be held at Dunedin during Easter. Reference was made to the need of a proper university site to secure a proper university, and to inculcate love of the college in the students. The report stated that "as Auckland was a first-class city, it needed a first-class university." The election of officers resulted President, Mr. F. S. Smith; vice-presidents. Miss Fifher, Mr. C. J. Robinson; secretary, Mr. C. L. B. Hall (re-elected): treasurer, Mr. W. G. Mackay; committee, Misses Johnson and Brown; Messrs. Senior, Bellhouse, and Shove; auditor, Miss Thode.
