LAND FOR SOLDIERS.
POSSIBILITIES NEAR ROTORUA. [BY TELEGRAPH.— CORRESPONDENT.] ROTORDA. Thursday. In regard to the settlement of returned soldiers on the land, the Rotorua Chamber of Commerce, at its last meeting, appointed a deputation to interview' the Minister for Lauds. One member, Mr Parsons, said he considered that s<\Jdiers could be successfully settled in parties of 50 or 100 on the land south of Rotorua, receiving assistance from the Government. he idea was that the men should be put to work at improving the land under Government supervision, and be paid wages. . 1U
