" SCANDALOUS" AFFIDAVIT. [DV TELECRAPH.—PRSSS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. Application was madn before Mr. Justice Herdman at tho Supreme Court today, by John Scott Myers, to reverse a decision of Mr. Justice Denniston in an affiliation appeal concerning tho paternity of an illegitimate child of Myers's daughter. The case had" been before the Court since 1912, and was finally disposed nf by Mr. Justice Denniston, who allowed an appeal against the judgment of the Magistrate [Mr. Day), who had adjudged defendant, Crozier, the putative father of Ihe child. Recently Myers filed an affidavit in the Supreme C urt, making serious charges against officials, and he asked that Mr. Justice Denniston's judgment be reversed.
Mr. Justice Herdman declined the application, holding that Judge Denniston's judgment was conclusive, and also ordered Mr. Myers's affidavit to be removed from the Court records as a scandalous document. 'three guineas costs were allowed against Myers.
