NAPIER. Saturday. The Napier Park Racing Club's meeting was concluded to-day. There was a largo crowd. Tho totalizator investments yesterday amounted to £23,050, and to-<!ay £24,883, making a total of £47,943. Results: — HURDLES, one and a-half miles.-6, Manhattan (Hunt), 1; 2, Kahumsngu (Brooker), 2; 7. Sensitive (Lorigan), 3. Also started: 3 First Line; 1, Ore Ore; 5, Hiwitapu : i, Warmth; 8, Juan: 9, Tigerland. Won easily. Time, 2m 4.4 2-ss.

TELEGRAPH HiCK, six furlonge.-S, Orateur (Hockley*, 1; 1. Lord Muskerry (A. Reid). 2: 6, Asterial (Corlett), 3. Also started: 2, Hymsrty; 3, Woodlark; 4, Staruiow. Won by a neck. Time, lm 15 l-ss.

McVAY MEMORIAL, one mile and a distance.—6, Sweet Corn (Emerson), 1: 2, Elocution (E. Manson), 2; 1, Rewi Poto (Johnson). 3. Also started: 4, Hendra; 3, Palm Oil; 6, Bagdad; 6, Silver Tongue; 7. Maraetotara. Won. by a length. Time, lm 535.

NOTES ON THE RACING. [by TELEGRAPH.—OWN correspondent.] NAPIER. Saturday. The Napier meeting was concluded in very warm weather. The judicial committee •was engaged for a long time inquiring imo some allegations that several horses were not allowed to do their best in the Cup on the opening day. After going into the matter, it was decided that the allegations were unfounded. The horses referred to were Hendra and Palm Oil, but with a change of riders to-day neither of the pair did any bettor. The racing was full of interest, but the resulis weie against the public. All started in the hurdles, the public go- ' inn strongly for Ore Ore. The favourite had a good risa in weight, but he looked an im- ! proved horse, and was only beaten because he met a good one in Manhattan. The latter jumped off in front, and flying his fences, he was not headed on the journey. The favourite was nearest to him at the home turn, but Kahumangu outstayed Ore Ore in the run to the post. Sensitive was a poor third, and First Line was the, next to finish. From a timo point of view, the winner's gallop was a good one, and more should be heard of him. Livland was withdrawn from the Telegraph Hack Handicap, for which Loro. Muskarry was made an odds-on favourite. Hymarty bounded off in front, and had a good break at half-way. but the favourite then collared her, and appeared to be winning easily, but Orateur finished fast on the fonce and got up in time to win by a head. Asterial also finished fast in third place. Woodlark was fourth. All started in the big handicap, Rewi Poto and Elocution being equally backed, ana Palm Oil also coming in for a lot of support. Sweet Corn, who was neglected on the machine, was soon in charge, and going past the six furlongs she had a good break. Emorson then steadied her, ana Elocution ran up to her rounding the bend, but once in a line for homo the Malster mare was again sent out, nnd stalling of! challenges bv Hendra and Rewi Poto. she won by a nock. Elocution stayed on and got second place from Eewi Poto. Bagdad was fourth. For the two-year-old handicap, the bracketed pair Cremdes and Hepda was the favourite on the machine, with Magistrate, who showed plenty of pace on the first day, next in demand. Sycorax and Magistrate were the quickest to begin, with Crenidos handy. Magistrate took charge two furlongs from home, and though challenged strongly by Asterina, he struggled on and won by a. nock. Crenides was third, and then came Sycorax and Makere. Hepda began badly, but showed paco in the race. The outside position helped to boat Crenides. There wero only three runners in tho Highweight Handicap, but it produced a very pretty race and a close finish. The trio were evenly backed. Kiltcas made the running from Altercation, with Sheipa in tho' rear- At tho three furlongs the latter rushed to the front, and the trio were all hard ridden. Entering the straight Ehcipa forged ahead, and won by a length from the other pair, who finished in a line. Ksltcsn got second place by a bare head. Gatherer had most friends in the Hack Scurry. Ho had every chance to win, but at the finish was comfortably beaten by Stutter, who was in front all the way. Asterial was right rip in third place, and Kohu finished next. Livland showed pace into tho straight but was then done with. Rawakore was withdrawn from the open sprint, leaving six runners. The public went heavily for Demagogue and Chortle, and the first-named led from end to end, finishing three lengths ahead of Sea Lord, who was clear of Chort'.e. The last-named walked away sore, and has probably seen his best day. The majority of the runners had good support in the concluding event, but Lovematch was the actual favourite. Powder King led Transmission and a bunched field to the turn for home. Here Tari, Transmission and Crosswords became prominent, and in a great finish from the distance Crosswords' won by a head from Transmission, while Lovematch finished very fast, and was only a head away in third place. Tari was fourth.

AUSTRALIAN TRACK WORK. (A- and N.Z.) SYDNEY, Mir. 8.

The tracks were heavy at Caulfield this morning. Hymcstra and Nanna covered three furlongs in 381s. At Elenungten the tracks were fairly good. Petracia did seven furlongs on tho cinders in 1.301, tho first four taking 39{s. Wedding Day did six furlongs in 1.16, the first four taking 60s, Greenstead galloped a mile in 1.47, Lucknow seven furlongs in 1.32} and Fitness a mile in 1.461. Sir Carl was destroyed, as the result of a collision on the track,
