SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIPS. DOMINION MEETING OPENS. [BY TEIEGEAPH.--PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] CHRISTCHTJRCH, Monday. The annual New Zealand swimming championships for school boys and girls, and also th( intermediate championship for boys and girls under 17 years of age, commenced at the tepid baths to-day, when the heats of the 880 yds boys' intermediate championship were held. Results:— heat: H. Anderson, Wellington, 1; E. Low, Canterbury, 2; L. Fairgray, Auckland.B. Also started: & Hogg, Hawke's Bay. Won comfortably. Time, 14m 27 l-ss. Second heat: V. H. Reed. iWanganui. 1 H. von Stunner, Auokland, 2. H. Sutherland, Canterbury, also started, but withdrew early in the race. Time, 14m 49 2-Ss. The final is to bo swum to-morrow night-
