UNION COMPANY'S VESSELS.

NO ADVICE AS TO RELEASE.

[DT TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.]

DUNEDIN, Thursday.

The Union Steam Ship Company has received no word when its vessels, which arc under ch&rter to the Imperial Government, will be handed back. It is probable, however, that one of the company's older vessels will be released immediately. No word has been received regarding the release of the ferry steamer Wahine. The opinion is expressed that the company's steamers will not be handed back by the Imperial Government till after the peace treaty is signed.
