CONFLICTS BETWEEN RED GUARDS AND ROYALISTS.
SERIOUS BLOODSHED MAY BEING REIGN OF TERROR. Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association. NEW YORK, Nov. 13. Mr. Cyril Brown, the New York World's Amsterdam correspondent, states that the latest reports from Berlin say that a pitched battle between the Red Guards and Royalists with machine-guns is now in progress. The first serious bloodshed may bring on a reign of terror. Armed Red Guards are parading the streets in motor trucks. The Red Guards are well armed and have plenty of ammunition, and some of the soldiers carry hand grenades.
The Berlin police have vanished, and the only kind of order maintained is by the Red Guards, who regulate traffic in congested parts of the city. The latter have occupied the Reichsbank, the police headquarters, and main telegraph office. Civilians are also carrying arms, which is adding to the general elements of insecurity.
