REPATRIATION SCHEME
GOVERNMENT PREPARATION,
MINISTERIAL BOARD TO ACT.

WELLINGTON, Thursday.
An elaborate repatriation soheme has been drawn lip by the Government. The scheme will be administered by a Ministerial Board, comprising Sir James Allen, Minister for Defence; the Hon. D. H. Guthrie, Minister for Lands; the Hon. W. D. S. Mac Donald, Minister for Agriculture ; and tho Hon. J. A. Hanan, Min >_ ter for Education. The departments and activities controlled by these Ministers will occupy a prominent- part in the scheme, and Departmental officials will be directly associated with the Ministerial Board. It has been decided to appoint a director of repatrir-tion, and repatriation officers will be stationed in the large centres. The civil administration will be in the bands of district boards and local committees. It is anticipated that a large expenditure will be involved in put'.mg the scheme into operation.
