MAIN TRUNK SLIP.

LINE STILL BLOCKED.

The work of clearing the landslip on the Main Trunk lino near Mataroa, has been carried on vigorously, and it was expected yesterday that the line would be clear for the passage of last night's Main Trunk express. However, a telegram received last night by the district traffic manager stated that the slip had "closed in," and that the line was impassable. The train which left Auckland last night will therefore be held no at the slip, and passengers will be obliged to transfer to another express.
