The Manchester Guardian, in to-day's leading article, attacks Mr. Hughes's economic campaign, quoting the Worker and the Sydney Daily Telegraph to prove that Mr. Hughes has no mandate from Australia to pronounce a fiscal policy. In the House of Commons, in replying to. Mr. Lees Smith (Liberal), Sir George Cave, Home Secretary, stated that Mr. Hughes was still the guest of the Government. Mr. Lees Smith: Is not the business on which Mr.'Hughes and the Dominion Prime Ministere came to England concluded and in these circumstances could not his expenses be paid by the party organisation which reports his views. A protest was raised, end the DeputySpeaker intervened. No reply was.given..
