SOFT GOODS DISPUTE.
PROGRESS TOWARDS SETTLEMENT. The soft poods trade dispute was further considered Dy the Conciliation Council, under the presidency of the commissioner, "Mr. T. Harls .Giles, yesterday. The council sat till 10.16 p.m., and satisfactory progress was made. One or two points are still under consideration, but the commissioner is hopeful that a full settlement on all the points at issue will be arrived at. The further hearing of the dispute was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
