THE SHIPPING POSITION.
FAIRLY GOOD JUST NOW. 'BY TELEGRAPH, —SFEWAL CORRESPONDENT.] WELLINGTON, Thursday. The Prime Minister stated to-day that the shipping position was fairly good at the moment. If tho Imperial authorities were able to give effect to the present arrangements, ho said, there would be no serious inconvenience through scarcity of shirring for the next two months, at any rate. "As far as the period after that time is concerned," he concluded, " 1 am unable to speak, as the matter depends upon the war situation to a very large extent."
