WAR INDEMNITIES.
QUESTION IN PARLIAMENT. [bt (TELEGRAPH.— CORRESPONDENT.] WELLINGTON, Wednesday. A request that the Prime Minister should make public the Dominion's claim in the way of indemnities from the enemy nations, was made by Mr. J. P. Luke (Wellington North) in the House of Representatives this afternoon. Mr. Massey replied that he would be very pleased to place the matter before Cabinet. Only the Government could docide such a matter. "All the monoy in Germany," he added, " cannot compensate us for the 16,000 young men of New Zealand who have made the supreme sacrifice on our behalf. The question raised, however, will certainly be taken into consideration."
