The weather continues to be variable, and tho improvement- in the conditions
following tho heavy rain on Saturday night and Sunday morning lasted only until yesterday afternoon. Earlier in the day the sky hat? been dull, and threatening, and about 4 p.m. the weather became showery, rain falling with vory little intermission until a late hour, with no signs of clearing. The following forecast was issued by Mr. Clement C Wragge at 3.30 p.m. yesterday. Another disturbance is now approaching from the west, and at this time appears to be of minor intensity. But it means, for the time, a renewal of unsettled and showery conditions, under winds from between north-west and south-west, and rising seas on the west coast. J
