THE PETITIONS CAMPAIGN.

The New Zealand Labour Party's petitions campaign was continued last evening, when. Mr. T. Bloodworth. addressed a meeting at the Trades Hail.' In regard to the liquor referendum, he said, all democrats should sign the party's petition, asking that four issues be submitted to the people. In respect to the demand for a general election, he said the Labour Party had not supported the proposal to lengthen the life of Parliament, and it could not, therefore, be said that it was inconsistent in asking for a general election early next year- x . . Mr E. Hunter will address a meeting at the Otahuhu Public Hall this evening in furtherance of the campaign.
